The article was published as an EPub ahead of print in the journal Pain on  April 02, 2019 by Eccleston, C et al. Study authors explore the Covid-19 impact on patients with pain, remind us of the risks associated with delaying care for patients with chronic pain, review the ways in which technology can assist in virtual pain management and present evidence regarding both the benefits and potential harms associated with telehealth. This publication is important because it reminds us of the need to care for patients suffering from spine-related pain during the Covid-19 crisis, offers options for virtual care, and outlines the advantages and disadvantages of telehealth practices.

Take home message – resources are available to help doctors of chiropractic navigate these difficult times using a combination of available technology and current research to take care of patients who are suffering from musculoskeletal pain during this already difficult time in their, and our, lives.
